Hello!

Here’s a little bit about me

I'm Caitlin Newlove (she/her), a UK based illustrator who loves to curate cute narrative scenes filled with hues of pinks and bold colours. I graduated from Arts University Bournemouth in 2024. After graduation I moved back to my hometown in Hampshire, I became involved in my community; volunteering for GirlGuides and local art charities inspired me to create again after years of art education burn out.

After months of volunteering I worked abroad at a summer camp in New York! I worked as an Art Councillor, creating and leading my own classes. This started my journey into wanting to pursue children’s book illustration. I worked in my sketchbook every day, it became a staple to all my outfits. My campers inspired me to create stories; I started to find motivation in creating for others. My battered red sketchbook is what I base all my digital drawings of, I keep it like a diary and draw in it in all my travels.

My biggest inspiration comes from nature, I am lucky enough to have grown up in Hampshire, which is filled with the British countryside.I love to include florals in all my illustrations, as well as a touch of fantasy.
